• Performance fee for all accepted performers
Deadlines:
Early Applications: February 7-19 at 11:59PM CST - $15 Fee
Regular Applications: February 20-March 19 at 11:59PM CST - $25 Fee
Late Applications: March 20-25 at 11:59PM CST - $30 Fee

The Venue: Auditorium at The Douglass
Our historic home venue, built in the 1930s, features one of the largest stages in burlesque worldwide with state of the art sound and lighting (as seen in the slideshow above), and a capacity of 725. Our backstage area features two spacious dressing rooms, each with 5 lit makeup stations, seating and space to hang wardrobe. We’re all about showing our cast Midwestern hospitality! Oklahoma City also has one of the lowest costs of living in the country while still being the 22nd largest city in the U.S.! Food, lodging, and any other expenses you incur will be significantly less than other similarly sized cities. We also have some of the BEST vintage shopping in the country! We do our best to make sure every performer feels appreciated and has a spectacular time in Oklahoma! Some of the perks you can expect as a performer at the 9th Annual Oklahoma City Burlesque Festival:
•Two featured performers chosen from the applicant pool •Performance fee for all accepted performers •Free admission to all shows •Accepted applicants may apply to teach a workshop •Promotion of individual performers both before and after the festival •Catering offered both backstage and at the after parties •Discounts to some of the best local and vintage shopping •Free, professional images and video of your performance •Every performer will be able to choose 1 workshop to take for FREE! Your attendance will be subsidized through the festival. Additional workshops are offered at a reduced rate of $15 per workshop. |
Don't miss out on shows, workshops, networking events, and the Bedazzled Buffalo awards! We do not consider this a "competition" but a fun way to recognize performers who excel in a particular area. Judges have a simple 5 point system that rates each performer on each individual category.
